Startup Self-Detection

This smart printer activates the self-detection function when started. It detects the printer's extruder heating, platform heating and XYZ operation status that allows the device to know that it’s working and to identify when something is not working properly. However, you only activate this function if you wish to—since it is manually turned on and off.

Need to leave in a hurry? No worries! The WEEDOX40 3D Printer automatically shuts down when prints finish or after a standby timeout. This energy saving auto-shutdown feature adds a crucial layer of extra safety. We’ve also added essential quality of life features such as print resume after power loss. Don’t let the frustration of sudden power outages stop your progress. When power is restored, the print will resume where it left off.

Automatic Leveling For Greater Accuracy

The X40 automatically levels the bed before each print to ensure a perfect first layer every time you press ‘print’. We wanted to go above and beyond in the implementation of our leveling algorithm by optimizing the process for special IDEX specific modes like copy and mirror mode. Our bilinear automatic leveling ensures that when you’re producing multiples of parts using copy and mirror mode you get consistent, successful prints from both print heads. 

Filament Runout Detection

Filament Runout Detection

Whether it's brittle filament that accidentally snaps before reaching the print head or you reach the end of a roll before a print is through, the X40 has you covered. Two filament runout sensors detect missing filament on either extruder and will suspend printing activity until the roll is replaced.

Four Printing Modes

Explore the X40’s four unique printing modes: two-colour, water-soluble, duplicate, and mirror printing. With each sliced file, model size and coordinate parameters are added into the GCODE file to print mirrors or duplicates at will.

The X40 will automatically shut down when a job is completed or well as after a standby timeout when no jobs are present. That means the X40 saves on energy costs and operates with an extra level of safety.

If your X40 experiences a power loss while printing (due to a power outage, for example), the printer’s progress will be saved for you to resume when you’re able.

The X40’s UI is user friendly, coming equipped with a multi-language interface. The printer currently supports the following languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese and Chinese. Simply select your language of choice from the interface after the first boot.
